doTERRA Leadership Pools are corporate profit sharing pools that are paid to Wellness Advocates who have achieved the rank of Premier and above.
If you haven’t yet read my article on the doTERRA unilevel bonus plan or the ranking system, you may want to do that before reading this.
doTERRA has two categories of corporate profit sharing or leadership pools: the Infinity Performance Pool and the Diamond Pool and each of these main categories has 3 separate pools.
The infinity
Performance Pool consists of the Empowerment Pool which is shared by
those who hold the rank of Premier, Silver and Gold, the Leadership Performance
Pool which is shared by those who hold the rank of Silver, Gold or Platinum
and the Diamond Performance Pool shared by those holding the rank of
Diamond, Blue Diamond and Presidential Diamond.
Collectively these pools represent 4.25% of total company volume with 1.25% being distributed to to those in the Empowerment pool, 2% distributed to those in the Leadership pool and 1% distributed to those in the Diamond Performance pool.
Each rank is entitled to a certain number of shares in their respective pools as shown in the diagram below. A share's value is equal to the percentage of the company volume shared by a particular pool multiplied by the total company volume for a given month and divided by the total number of shares held by all wellness advocates in that pool.
EXAMPLE
As an example, let's say the total company volume for the month was $1 million and there were 200 Wellness Advocates holding the rank of Silver, Gold and Platinum.
Each share of the Leadership Performance Pool for that month would then be 2% x $1 million/200 or $100.
If you held the rank of Gold you would receive 5 shares of this pool or a bonus of $500.
When you qualify for the rank of Silver, Gold or Platinum you earn an additional share of the Leadership Performance pool whenever a Wellness Advocate that you personally enrolled qualifies for the rank of Elite for the first time.
Similarly, if you qualify for the rank of Diamond, Blue Diamond or Presidential Diamond you earn an additional share of the Diamond Performance pool whenever a personally enrolled wellness advocate in your organization first qualifies for the rank of Premier.
There is no limit to the number of shares members of the Leadership and Diamond Performance pools can accumulate.
The Diamond Performance Pools consists of the Diamond , Blue Diamond and Presidential Diamond pools.
Collectively the Diamond pool comprises 3% of the total company volume for any particular month. This amount is divided among these three pools, with those qualifying for the rank of Diamond, Blue Diamond and Presidential Diamond each receiving 3 shares.
The value of each share in the pool are determined the same way as above.
However, because there are fewer Wellness Advocates holding these upper ranks, the value of shares in the Diamond pools tend to be much higher than in the Infinity Performance pools.
When you qualify for the rank of Diamond or Blue Diamond you earn an additional share of the Diamond or Blue Diamond Performance pools whenever a Wellness Advocate that you personally enrolled for the rank of Premier for the first time.
When you qualify for the rank of Presidential Diamond you earn an additional share of the Presidential Diamond pool whenever a Wellness Advocate that you personally enrolled qualifies for the rank of Silver for the first time.
There is no limit to the number of shares you can qualify for in any of the Diamond Performance pools.
As a reminder, an enroller is the person who is responsible for initially enrolling a new person in doTERRA as a Wellness Advocate. A sponsor is the person under whom that new Wellness Advocate is placed - in other words the person in the enrollee's immediate upline.
When you enroll a person as a Wellness Advocate in doTERRA you can either keep them on your first level (in which case you would be both the enroller and the sponsor) or you can place them under a different Wellness Advocates in your organization.
For example, you might place a new person under someone on your first or second levels to qualify for a greater bonus from the Power-of-3 Bonus Plan. (Refer to the diagram below and to this article)
In this case you would be the enroller and whoever you place the Wellness Advocate directly under would be the sponsor.
So, it may make sense to make someone else in your organization the sponsor of a Wellness Advocate that you actually enrolled.
However, because personal enrollment of Wellness Advocates is necessary to both qualify for higher ranks and to qualify for additional shares of the leadership pools you DO NOT want to give up your position as the enroller of a new Wellness Advocate!
