contact me by clicking on the “contact me” link (see image above).
Tips on Getting Started

Before you sign up it’s wise to have some idea of which products or kit you would like to purchase.
I suggest purchasing product that you would like to use yourself and
that also would be a good choice for use in your office and for your patients.
Enrollment kits are listed below the "Start With a Kit" option. Click on the image of each kit to get a description of what is in it.
If you prefer to choose your own products click on the "Pick your Own Product" button. You will then be given a choice of purchasing individual
oils, essential oil blends or other items including personal care items and supplements (see image below). Clicking on any of those links will take you
to a description of the various products that you can select.

You can choose whichever products you like, but to help you get started, I have listed some of the individual oils, blends and kits that I find especially useful and popular below.
Suggestions for Individual Oils
Suggested individual essential oils
If you just want to start off with a few individual oils, the
ones that I like and find to be very popular include. . .
- Lemon Oil: The clean and uplifting scent of lemon oil makes
it a great oil to diffuse in your home or office, but it’s also wonderful for
cleaning and polishing both wood and leather surfaces. It can even remove old dry erase
marks from white boards!
- Peppermint Oil: A favorite oil for people who experience tension
headaches, peppermint is also uplifting and can help improve focus. And, of
course, it is a great breath freshener! Peppermint
can also help with occasional GI problems and nausea. I prefer to use Peppermint Beadlets
for breath freshening and Peppermint Softgels to ease occasional GI problems.
- Lavender Oil: A perennial favorite due to it’s wonderful
scent, lavender oil is also calming and can promote restful sleep.
- Frankincense: Long used in religious ceremonies and to assist
with meditations, Frankincense is often used to help with skin rejuvenation. And,
while certainly not a “cure” for cancer, many of the components of Frankincense
have also been shown to have anti-carcinogenic properties.
- Fractionated Coconut Oil: Don’t forget to pick up a bottle of fractionated coconut oil (FCO) to use as a carrier oil. FCO is good for all skin types, is non-comedogenic, and has a very long shelf life making it a great choice to stock in your office.
Suggested Essential Oil Blends
Suggested Essential Oil Blends
Essential Oil Blends can be more effective than individual oils. Some of the blends I find most useful (and popular) include . . .
- On Guard Products: On Guard
is a blend designed to help protect against environmental and seasonal threats. When diffused, On Guard oil helps purify the air,
and can be very energizing and uplifting – great for office waiting and
treatment rooms! When taken
internally On Guard helps support the immune system. And it can be used as a non-toxic cleaner and sanitizer on surfaces throughout your home and office.
- Deep Blue: Deep
blue is a blend of essential oils including Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint and Blue Tansy. It
is great for easing occasional joint and muscle discomfort and is used by many
massage therapists, chiropractors and sports practitioners in their practice. I recommend the rub to
start off with or (better) a combination of the rub and liquid oil.
- Breathe: A blend that includes Laurel Leaf, Peppermint,
Eucalyptus, Melaleuca and Lemon, Breathe helps maintain clear airways. You can apply the blend to the chest, back, or bottoms of the feet, but I like to diffuse it at
night to promote restful sleep. There are several Breathe products, but my favorites are the
oil itself, the lozenges and the stick (which can be applied to the chest and
has a strong Eucalyptus oil scent)
- Digestzen: A combination of Coriander, Ginger,
Fennel, Peppermint, Anise and Caraway essential oils, Digestzen aids digestion, soothes
occasional stomach upset, and reduces uncomfortable intestinal gas. Add Digestzen oil to water and
take it internally or choose Digestzen softgels instead. (For small children, rub the oil on their
stomach.)
- Serenity: As its name implies this blend has a calming aroma that helps
create a restful environment for sleep or at any time of the day.
- Cuisine Blends: Did I mention that many essential oils are healthy when
ingested? And they can spice up your cooking! You can choose individual spices
like Cilantro, Oregano or Basil or select the Mexican, Italian, Thai or Tropical Cuisine essential
oil blends!
Enrollment Kits

Selecting an
enrollment kit will let you try various oils and blends without paying a
membership fee.
Enrollment kits are only available when you first enroll in
doTERRA so you may want to check a few of these out. (I suggest starting out with a kit instead of individual products and then adding additional products to your order if desired.)
To see what is in each enrollment kit, click on the image of that kit on
the enrollment page (see image above). The kits I typically recommend include . .
- Healthy Start Kit: If you just want to try out a few oils I suggest the Healthy Start Kit. This kit contains several of
the most popular essential oils including Lavender, Peppermint, Tea Tree, Lemon and more. If you like you can also add
additional oils or products to your order.
- Simple Solutions Kit: If want to start with Deep Blue (Soothing blend) and just a couple
of the more popular oils you might choose the Simple Solutions Kit which contains Deep Blue Rub, Lemon Oil and the On Guard and Serenity blends.
Be sure to browse through the other enrollment
kit options to find the one that’s right for you.
